Overview & Highlights

Welcome to Falafel, a gem nestled on Wilmslow Road in Manchester, where the rich flavors of authentic Arabian cuisine come alive in each bite. Since 2004, this beloved falafel restaurant has been serving up mouthwatering dishes that masterfully blend tradition with contemporary flair.

The heart of Falafel's menu lies in its expertly crafted shawarma and fresh, vibrant wraps, made with love and a commitment to quality. Whether you’re in the mood for the classic Falafel Wrap, bursting with spiced chickpeas and served in warm, freshly made bread, or the indulgent Lamb Shawerma Wrap, each offering is a testament to the culinary heritage of the Middle East. The wraps are generously portioned and affordably priced, starting at just £3.50, making it an ideal spot for a casual lunch or a quick dinner.

For something with a unique twist, try the selection of Manakish, traditional Middle Eastern flatbreads topped with flavorful spreads. The Zaatar Manakish pairs aromatic thyme herbs with a drizzle of olive oil, creating a simple yet delightfully savory taste profile, all for just £2.99. Each bite reveals a crispy texture from the oven, perfectly complemented by a soft, chewy dough that adds to the overall experience.

Falafel doesn’t just stop at wraps and manakish; their vibrant salads are a feast for the eyes and the palate. The Large Mixed Salad comes piled high with fresh parsley, juicy tomatoes, and crisp cucumber, all harmoniously blended with hummus and baba ghannouj, creating a refreshing dish that’s perfect for a light meal at £4.99.

Customers rave about their experience at Falafel, with reviewers like Sharon Davis hailing the “massively generous portions” and “utterly delicious” smoky babaganoush. The restaurant’s atmosphere is casual and inviting, making it ideal for both solo diners and groups looking to share a hearty meal. However, some guests have expressed thoughts about the service, noting that a smile can enhance the dining experience. Overall, patrons appreciate the consistent freshness and flavor that keeps them coming back again and again.

If you’re seeking authentic Arabian cuisine that tantalizes your taste buds without breaking the bank, Falafel is the place to be. Revel in the vibrant flavors, enjoy generous portions, and feel the warmth of freshly baked bread enveloping delightful fillings, all in the heart of Manchester.

The food was really good! The best part was that the bread was freshly made and was piping hot, so fresh, soft, and absolutely delicious. The whole dish came together really really well. Portions are generous and at a very affordable price. Enjoyed the meal! I am only giving 4 and not 5 because the hummus (kinda the hero of the meal) could be improved. It was good, but could be much much better. Service was alright and the atmosphere was okay too. Will go back only for the food. PS: I also took away a zaatar and it was great as well.

Amazing food! Always fresh and full of flavour, ordered here a few times now and never been disappointed

Utterly delicious with massively generous portions & very reasonable prices. Smoky babaganoush, soft tender grilled whole chicken & soft lamb shawarma meat. My first order will certainly not be my last. Yummmmm.

Ioved the food. It’s authentic Arabian ! But the waitress was very grumpy and you can see she doesn’t like what she does ! I would rather have an average food with a smile !
